It started with a mate

My mate Matt runs Outstanding Gardening here in Canberra. He's great on the tools, but the business side was eating his nights: quotes, bookings, invoices, chasing money. We went looking for an app that did what he needed, in the way he works. We looked everywhere and couldn't find one that fit.

So I built him one. That little app kept growing until it became Its All Sorted. I didn't want the app to be the company, so I started Consider It Sorted to own it, and the other ideas that were starting to come.

Then I built Matt a website, so customers could find him somewhere better than a Facebook page. It turned out well enough that other tradies should have the same. That's where Websites for Tradies came from.

Who's behind it

I'm Mark Dickson. I've spent my whole working life running things and selling things. I was managing service stations young, with a team of 40 by the time I was 21. I worked in casinos and spent ten years on cruise ships, then came home and went into sales.

My wife and I ran our own courier business in Canberra for eight years, with vans running all over town. After that I worked in gardening alongside Matt, then spent a couple of years in the equipment hire industry. I've been the one on the tools and the one doing the paperwork at night. I know how easily the paperwork takes over.

What we're here for

Tradies should be on the tools, not buried in paperwork. Everything we build is aimed at that.
